Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of sapphire-security.com and to services provided by Sapphire Security Group (“Sapphire,” “we,” “us”). If you hire us for a job, the written quote, proposal, or service agreement for that job also applies. If it conflicts with these terms, the written agreement controls.

1. Website information

Content on this website is general information about our services. It is not a quote, an offer, or professional advice for your property. Equipment features, brands, availability, and response times can change. Scope, price, and schedule are set only in a written quote for your job. Photos and diagrams are illustrative.

2. No guarantee of security

Security cameras, alarms, intercoms, access control, and related systems help deter, detect, and record events. They do not prevent crime, injury, fire, loss, or damage, and no system is error-free. Systems depend on power, internet, cellular and Wi-Fi service, cloud platforms, and third-party software that we do not control. Sapphire is not an insurer. You are responsible for carrying insurance that covers your property, people, and liability.

3. Monitoring and third-party services

Unless your written agreement says otherwise, Sapphire does not provide central-station alarm monitoring and does not dispatch police, fire, or medical services. Any monitoring, cloud storage, mobile apps, or remote access are provided by the equipment manufacturer or another third party under their own terms. We are not responsible for outages, changes, discontinuation, or data loss on those services. In an emergency, call 911.

4. Equipment and warranties

Equipment is covered only by its manufacturer’s warranty. Any workmanship warranty from Sapphire is limited to what is stated in writing in your quote or agreement. Except for those written warranties, and to the fullest extent allowed by law, our services and this website are provided “as is,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted or error-free operation.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Give us accurate information about the property and safe access to the work areas, and confirm you have the right to authorize the work.
  • Tell us about hidden conditions you know of, such as existing wiring, plumbing, asbestos, or structural issues. We are not responsible for concealed conditions we could not reasonably see.
  • Keep your passwords, app accounts, and network secure, install updates, and change default credentials we hand over.
  • Use cameras and audio recording lawfully. You are responsible for required notices and consents, including Connecticut rules on workplace electronic monitoring and recording conversations, and for respecting neighbors’ and tenants’ privacy.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Sapphire, its owners, employees, and subcontractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of property, data, footage, profits, or business, including losses caused by burglary, theft, fire, vandalism, or system failure. Our total liability for any claim related to a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Our total liability for any claim related to this website is limited to $100. These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them, such as liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold Sapphire harmless from third-party claims arising from your use of the installed system, including recording or monitoring of other people, or from your breach of these terms, except to the extent the claim is caused by our negligence.

8. Disputes

If there is a problem, contact us first. We will try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days. Any claim must be brought within one year after it arises, unless the law requires a longer period. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, and disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut.

9. Reviews and testimonials

Customer reviews reflect individual experiences. Results vary by property, equipment, and use.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version. See also our Privacy Policy and Accessibility Statement. Questions: call (860) 424-1589 or email sapphiresecuritygroup@gmail.com.
